Champions League Review: PSG dump Chelsea out, Benfica qualify

Chelsea have been eliminated from the UEFA Champions League, after they were defeated 2-1 by Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.

The Ligue 1 champions came into the game, with a 2-1 lead from the first leg.

Adrien Rabiot extended that lead at Stamford Bridge, tapping home Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s precise cross, but Diego Costa turned Thiago Costa to level before the break.

Ibrahimovic, who scored in Paris, was on hand to convert Angel Di Maria’s cross, as Guus Hiddink’s men bowed out.

In the first game of the day, Benfica scored two late goals to see off Zenit St Petersburg on their own turf, winning 3-1 on aggregate.
