Ex-Nigeria President Obasanjo Joins PDP Leaders

Olusegun Obasanjo, former Nigeria’s president and elder statesman, Friday joined leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party in Bayelsa to commission projects built by the government.

The projects, including a specialist hospital and Bayelsa Drug Distribution Centre. The commissioning was part of activities marking the 6th anniversary of Bayelsa Governor Henry Seriake Dickson. On Thursday, the state governor hosted PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus, who formally received All Progressives Congress defectors to the party.

However, ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, who is from Bayelsa, was conspicuously missing at the different ceremonies. Jonathan and Dickson are said to have a protracted misunderstanding.
