AMACOS YABATECH Cautions INSTABLOG9JA On “Selective News Reportage”

In bid to maintaining good public relation, Assciation of Mass Communication Students (AMACOS), Yabatech Chapter reportedly petitioned INSTABLOG9JA on the need to report exclusive news partaining to the College with caution.

This according to the developnent as contained via a press release issued on social media by the Students’ Association:

“PETITION CALLING FOR INSTABLOG9JA TO STOP REPORTING YABATECH IN A NEGATIVE LIGHT

Instablog, it’s high time you embraced objective reporting

It’s no longer a news that Instablog reports only negative and some times false news about people and organizations.

For some time now, INSTABLOG9JA has been reporting Yabatech in the bad light all in the name of news. Just within a space of a month, it has reported about two news stories that lack professional journalistic ethics but are based on selective scanting and skewing of information in a bid to defame and tarnish the image of the college.

Last month, it reported Yabatech with a sensational headline because an ex student of the college was allegedly caught stealing.

Just yesterday, it reported that a student of the college was being chased on the account of “dressing indecently” whereas it obviously isn’t aware of the College stand on dressing pattern of her students.

With the urgency with which it reports these biased and unprofessional stories of the college, one would expect it could also report at least, one of the many land breaking feats Yabatech and her students have been breaking especially in recent times.

For instance, where was Instablog when a student of the college did a live painting of France President, Emmanuel Macron when he visited Nigeria? Even recently, president Buhari was dazed at the skillfulness and professionalism of the Yabatech students when he visited Lagos on May 1st.

With this, it is safe to say that Instablog owner and its operators know nothing about objective journalism.

We therefore call on INSTABLOG9JA to steer clear from Yabatech and stop under reporting the College”
