Emeka Akumefule popularly known as Blaqbonez premiers his 2019 EP “Mr Boombastic” following his “Best Rapper in Africa” single.

To be honest, I’ve only appreciated Blaqbonez awesomeness from a distance. I was never a fan of the Chocolate City / 100 crowns rapper. But after carefully listening to his “Mr Boombastic” EP, I reconsidered my decision.

At first his “Jesus is Black” diss track to Kanye West got me feeling his sound. Then the EP dropped, well it was massive! The EP is definitely underrated provably because the to notch acts dropped a couple of songs this period.

1. Blaqbonez – God When

This is another dope sound. “God When” has additional vocals from Oxlade and was produced by Tempoe. A mid tempo hip pop vibe, groovy and addictive. This is actually one of the few songs you’ll need to put on repeat.

2. Blaqbonez – Magic feat Black Magic

Blaqbonez brought Black Magic to this one. He went on to sing rather than rap in the Chillz produced beat. Having the arrogant and hot headed blaqbonez sing a love songs is worthy of listening to. I’m definitely playing this song while driving. Hehe

3. Blaqbonez – Promo

The Chocolate city comes clean with a hot hip pop vibe produces by London. This sound is magical. Its definitely one of the best songs in “Mr Boombastic EP.

4. Blaqbonez – Shut Up

This is the hit single dropped off the ” Mr Boombastic EP”. Blaqbonez went hard on the Tempoe produced beat. He ensured he made his point clear to his haters not to communicate to him. He is the self acclaimed best rapper in Africa so all rappers has got to shut up and listen to the king. This is the hardest hip pop track in Nigeria.

A perfect hip pop tune for the club. Mr boombastic brought out his naught side on Falz tutelage to lecture the girls on how to “break it and whine”.

6. Blaqbonez – Run My Race

This is Blaqbonez talking not the deceitful and hilarious Mr Boombastic. Here Blaqbonez brags of being the best rapper in Africa as he reveals the truth surrounding his day-to-day activities with regards to money. He took out time to drag Vector as he cautioned his fans to beware of snakes.

7. Blaqbonez – Come For You

With additional voice from Lyn Majesty and production credits to Materpiece, Blaqbonez delivers a mid tempo hip pop jam. This is definitely one of the best hip pop jams in Naija at the moment. Blaqbonez is fire!
