BREAKING: Tottenham Hotspur Sack Manager Mauricio Pochettino

Tottenham Hotspur has just announced that they have parted company with team manager Mauricio Pochettino.

However Spurs reached last season’s Champions League final, it came at a time when the north London outfit were unable to replicate that form on the domestic stage.

Also ahead of the return to Premier League action at the weekend, Spurs sit in 14th position in the standings, 11 points adrift of fourth-placed Manchester City and 18 behind leaders Liverpool.

On Tuesday, bookmakers made Pochettino the favourite to become the next top-flight manager to leave his job, something which ultimately materialised later in the day.

The Chairman Daniel Levy said: “We were extremely reluctant to make this change and it is not a decision the Board has taken lightly, nor in haste.”

“Regrettably domestic results at the end of last season and beginning of this season have been extremely disappointing.”

The Argentine departs Spurs having won 159 and lost 72 of his 293 matches in charge. In summary of 256 league games; 52% league win rate, 2 finals reached, 0 trophies won.
