Music Junkie Entertainment launches its new record label solely for the purpose of signing, developing and breaking new and emerging Nigerian artists.
The label, Music Junkie Entertainment, ultimately wants to elevate Nigerian inspired genres (Afrobeat, Afropop etc) throughout the region and globally by focusing on discovering and developing talent from Nigeria and throughout the African continent to form a clear and unique sound that reflects the diverse and rich musical culture of the continent.
In addition to artist development and A&R (artists and repertoire), the label will provide distribution and marketing, as well as management and agency services. This announcement was made by the label’s CEO Sylvester Okoro who brings his wealth of extensive musical experience coupled with his previous working relations with major record labels like Universal Music Group, Sony, Warner Records, and EMI. ”
