Coronavirus Flies Without Passport As Number Increases To 51 In Nigeria

Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed that coronavirus cases in Nigeria has increased to 51. The NCDC reported this new increase via their twitter handle. Six new cases was reported and Lagos State still remains the highest record case so far with a number of 32 and Rivers state records 1 new case.

According to NCDC the new recorded cases have moderate symptoms and are receiving proper intensive care.

Current cases so far:

Lagos – 32

FCT – 10

Ogun – 3

Ekiti – 1

Oyo – 1

Edo – 1

Osun – 1

Rivers – 1

According to the NCDC, the 5 new recorded cases recorded, 3 are returning travelers into the country while the other 2 are close contacts of the confirmed case. So far, the country has only recorded 1 death.

The Governor of Rivers State, Nysom Wike few hours ago, told newsmen of the state how an alleged infected person boarding a flight from Abuja to Port Harcourt was prevented from boarding the flight. Public burials, weddings, night club, cinemas, crusades and vigils have all been banned in the state according to the governor. This is in a bid to curb any form of increase in the state.
