Kaptain Makes a Solid Statement With His Debut EP ‘Kapacity’ – REVIEW

Fast rising afro-fusion artiste, Kaptain Makes a Solid Statement With His Debut EP ‘Kapacity’ – REVIEW

The chords in the intro is massive. Kaptain infuses the Nigerian love story in a slow tempo sound in ‘Chemistry’. ‘Chemistry’ won’t be appreciated by many as it’s short and not our regular African sound.

The second song is different! It sounds like regular afropop vibe but Kaptain’s delivery is unique and eccentric. In ‘Problem’, Kaptain creates a solid jam forcing his way through my auditory canal down to my cerebral hemisphere causing my head to nod to the addictive rhythm.

‘Gbese Gbese’ is fire! Kaptain shows his hip pop skills on this one. ‘Gbese Gbese’ is the most streamed song off this album on audiomack. It has amassed over 40,000 streams. The artiste tells an everyday story, encouraging his fans to keep pushing and hustling despite the tough and unfair nature of the streets.

The last track ‘In Love’ featuring Satyango is groovy and spiritual. I had to grab a pillow when listening to this as I’m yet to find a lover. Kaptain and Satyango did justice to this jam bringing out all my goosebumps and emotions.

This is a complete of work. It cuts across all moods and works of life. You need a party banger, an early morning vibe or a lullaby for the night? Kaptain’s ‘Kapacity EP’ has got you covered.

With over 100,000 streams on popular music streaming platform audiomack, Kaptain makes a solid statement with his debut EP.
