The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, have flagged off the conditional cash transfer and supply of relief food materials for the vulnerable in Lagos state.
The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-olu, confirmed this in a tweet, that, He received the Hon Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajia Sadiya Umar Farouq who was in Lagos with her team to flag off the conditional cash transfer and supply of relief food materials for the vulnerable.
The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, which had just concluded the supply of relief food materials and cash transfer to vulnerable homes in Imo state. Stated that it disembursed #20,000 to citizens as directed by President Buhari. The Ministry on it’s twitter page disclosed that they are giving cash for now because the beneficiaries do not have bank accounts or banking facilities around their neighbourhood. Stating that the only way their benefits can reach them is only by payment at their ward level.
As for now the conditional Cash Transfer payment has been carried out in
Imo, Niger, Osun, Plateau, Kwara, Kogi, Benue, Gombe Adamawa, Taraba, Kaduna, Cross River, Kano, Rivers, Jigawa, Ekiti,Oyo, Bauchi, Anambra, Nassarawa, Sokoto, Katsina, FCT and Yobe states.
