Funke Akindele and husband arraigned to court,sentenced to 14 days community service.

Veteran actress, Funke Akindele and husband were officially charged to court today, April 6th over violating ordered lockdown by government.

The couple threw a birthday bash of over twenty guests on April 4 during the Lockdown period. The wife was arrested yesterday while the husband turned himself in hours later.

The couple pleaded guilty to the charges and were sentenced to 14–days community service and to pay a fine of 200,000 Naira. The magistrate, Yewande Aje–Afunwa also stated that the couple would be isolated for 14 days in an undisclosed location.

The community service would last for 14-working days. They would serve 3 hours daily and must visit ten different places where they would warn people on the consequences of not complying with the law
