Taraba state Governor, Darius Ishaku, has ordered the immediate shutdown of all activities in the state. He gave the directives to close down markets and ships in the state which is to take effect as from today, April 1st 2020.
Although no case of COVID-19 has been reported in the state so far. The Governor is set to take proactive measures to contain the spread of the deadly Coronavirus.
He however only permits the operation of essential service providers in the state, and has announced that two isolation centres have been established, to ensure that any outbreak is well handled.
The Governor further advised people of the state not to panic but adhere to government instructions to maintain safety.
