Just In : Man Kills Traditional Ruler In Ekiti State, Over Snatching Of His Wife

A man, 35, identified as Mr Sunday has allegedly killed Chief Olusola Fatunla of Fatunla village in Ikole Local government area of Ekiti State after Mr Sunday accused the village of Snatching his wife, Tadeni.

Mr Sunday had earlier accused Chief Fatunla of Snatching his wife whom he was said to have been given two children for during their marriage before the marriy collapsed.

The corpse of the said traditional ruler was set ablaze after Mr Sunday and his gang killed him in another town, Iyemero where Mr Sunday lured the traditional ruler to on the account that he wants the Monarch to help him use his position to plead with some people who seized his charcoal.

The traditional ruler and Mrs Tadeni was said to have accompanied the Mr Sunday to the village(Iyemero) where he and his gang tired the Monarch to a tree and strangle him to death but luckily for Tadeni to have escaped.

After the incident, Mr Sunday and his gang flee to Patigi Local government in kwara State for an abode but lucky ran out of them when they were caught by the Nigeria Police.

Mr Sunday, a Tiv man from Benue has been detained by the Ekiti Police force while the corpse of the traditional ruler has been deposited in the morgue.
