Mosque Sealed For Violating Measures Made To Contain The Coronavirus In Lagos

Ganiyu Egunjobi, the Chairman of Agege Local Governent stated that the shut down of the mosque was necessary to avert a recurrence of the attack that on Tuesday. It was gathered that the mosque violated the ban on the gathering of more than 25 person’s .
It was reported that worshipers attacked personnel of the Lagos State COVID-19 Task force who were enforcing the lockdown made by the president in a bid to contain the spread of the Coronavirus.

According to The Punch, task force officers were attacked by the Muslim faithful who were observing prayers inside the mosque.
The mosque has since been fumigated and sealed. It was recorded that the worshipers were over 300. The Coronavirus spread that has caused over 900,000 people to lose their jobs across Europe with Italy, Spain and the United State of America recording the highest number of mortality rates. A vaccine or cure is still yet to be produce as world leaders have to its citizens to obey and follow all measures to combat the spread of the virus.
