On Saturday French Health officials announced that the country recorded 80 new covid-19 deaths. This happens to be the lowest death toll in a day since April 2020.
This report puts covid-19 death toll in France at 26,310, one of Europe’s highest. However the number of confirmed cases in the country is put at 95,829 with 56,038 people discharged after recovery.
French government is set to ease lockdown restrictions by Monday, with health authorities now registering much reduced pressures on intensive care services.
