EPL: Ighalo is planning to resist £400,000 per week deal to keep playing Man Utd

Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua, has reportedly offered Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo, a £400,000 per week deal to return to China.

According to UK Mirror, the 30-year old will fight desperately to remain at Manchester United.

Ighalo will speak with his parent club, Shanghai Shenhua, to allow him to extend his stay at Old Trafford, after negotiations between the two sides broke down.

The Nigerian striker will now plead with the Chinese Super League club himself, in a bid to convince them to change their minds and reach an agreement with United.

Shenhua have not played since December because of the COVID-19 outbreak in China.

However, the delayed season is scheduled to restart next month.

The club are also offering Ighalo a new two-year deal that will see him earn £400,000 per week.
