Former Minneapolis Police Officers Wife, Kellie Chauvin Allegedly Files For Divorce

Derek Chauvin the Minneapolis police officer who was charged for third-degree murder of George Floyd is at the verge of losing his wife as she has filed for divorce in the heat of the current situation.

Derek was caught on camera kneeling on the neck of George Floyd as he screamed, “I can’t breathe” before he was taken to custody and later confirmed dead.

According to her attorney, Kellie Chauvin the wife of the police officer has filed for dissolution of her marriage to Derek as she is devastated by the death of Floyd and her sympathy lies with the family of the deceased, his loved ones and with everyone who is grieving.

According to the family of Floyd, Derek should have been charged with first-degree murder instead of third as they feel it was a deliberate act from the officer. However, former president of the United States of America, Barack Obama has reacted to Floyd’s death saying a proper investigation should be carried out.
