“I can smell a rat” – Bishop David Oyedepo Attacks President Buhari for closing down churches

The General Overseer of Winners Chapel, Bishop Oyedepo, has attacked President Buhari closing down churches amidst the coronavirus pandemic lockdown.

Oyedop while speaking at the Covenant Hour of Prayer Programme on Wednesday, said if markets could be opened for six hours, there was no reason churches should not be opened for two hours.

The cleric argued that President Muhammadu Buhari’s decision to reopen markets while keeping churches shut is unreasonable.

President Buhari had announced the gradual phasing out of the lockdown put in place to stop the spread of Coronavirus in Lagos, Ogun and the FCT.

The easing of restrictions however, excluded churches, mosques and schools.

According to Oyedepo, there is no valid reason why churches should be shut if markets are open. He said, “There is something wrong; for people to be allowed to be in the market for six hours and can’t be in church for two hours, it is an upside-down way of looking at things.

“Which one is more orderly? The market or the church?

“I can smell a rat. The Lord spoke to me on it so strong yesterday. I can smell a rat.”

  1. OYEDEPO SHOULD NOT ATTACK D GOVERNNENT RATHER HE SHOULD ATTACK D DEVIL. D DEVIL IS D ONE FIGHTING D CHURCH AND NOT D GOVERNMENT. D GOVERNNENT IS D TOOL D DEVIL USES TO ACHIEVE HIS CONSPIRACY.
IF U WANT TO TREAT A PROBLEM U ADDRESS IT FROM D ROOT OR D SOURCE. D DEVIL IS D SOURCE AND D ROOT. THEREFORE FIGHTING OR ATTACKING D GOVT IS A WASTE OF TIME.
