On Monday, United States President, Donald Trump made a surprising revelation that he takes hydroxychloroquine everyday.

Hydroxychloroquine is an anti-malaria drug that has been declared not suitable to help cure covid-19 by United States health officials.

Trump disclosed that he also takes zinc in addition to the anti-malaria drug. He added that he’d been taking the drug “for about a week and a half”, and that he has tested negative for the virus and shows no symptoms.

President Trump has shown interest for weeks in promoting the use of hydroxychloroquine, even if many doctors think it does not work for coronavirus patients and US government regulators warn it has “not been shown to be safe.”
