Niger State Records 1st Covid-19 Death As 7 Almajiris Test Positive.

Niger State Commissioner for Health and Hospital Services, Dr Muhammad Makusidi, disclosed on Saturday that the state has recorded its first COVID-19 death, as seven almajiri returnees test positive to covid-19.

The Health commissioner revealed that the deceased was a 40-year-old diabetic taxi driver plying the Suleja-Abuja route, who had given up shortly on arrival at the Suleja General Hospital.

At the moment Niger state has recorded a total of 22 confirmed COVID-19 cases as on Saturday evening.
