Vladimir Putin Lifts Russia’s Covid-19 Lockdown Order On Tuesday.

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has announced that the lockdown restrictions imposed by the government to curb the spread of COVID-19 will be lifted on tuesday.

Putin disclosed this information as he addresses the nation via teleconference at the Novo-Ogaryovo state residence outside Moscow on Monday, May 11, 2020.

The president’s announcement comes after Russia registered a record number of daily cases Monday, with more than 11,000 people testing positive over the last 24 hours.

At the moment Russia has recorded a total of 221,344 confirmed coronavirus cases and has registered 2009 deaths.

Putin however stated that as people begin going back to work, mass events are still suspended and “strict sanitation demands” must be observed.
