According to earlier reports, it was gathered that Rotimi Amaechi, former governor of Rivers State and the current Minister for Transportation, lost his elder brother, Charles (Dede) Amaechi. In a statement issued by the Governor of Rivers State, Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has commiserated with the family of the deceased, as he took to his official social media handle to show respect to the Amaechi’s family.

Nigerians have taken to social media to react differently, as some users claimed the governor was only doing that to appreciate what the Minster for Transportation did for the state while others believed it’s just a political statement, as it seems like they are not in each other’s good book at the moment.
