COVID-19 Kills 20 Journalist In Peru.

According to reports by Peru’s Journalist Union, more than twenty journalists have died from the Covid-19 outbreak in the country.

Peru has currently recorded over 170,000 covid-19 cases, with 4,600 confirmed deaths already.

The General Secretary of Peru’s National Association of Journalists, Zuliana Lainez, on Monday, June 1st 2020, disclosed that the union has lost not less than 20 of it’s members to the dreaded coronavirus disease.

Zuliana Lainez stated that many of them contracted the disease while reporting from streets, markets and hospitals on the effects of the virus, without proper protective equipment.
