Ex-Governor Abiola Ajimobi Buried In His Home Town (Photos)

Nigeria will never forget, so as the people of Oyo, as former Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi has been buried. The ex-governor died on Thursday, June 25, 2020 after some complication on his health due to the current pandemic.

The ex-governor was laid to rest in his home town, Ibadan, at about 10.00am with all Islamic rights and social distancing was observed. Ajimobi was appointed as the acting national Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) by the national Working Committee (NWC) of the party before his death.

His burial was attended by popular Islamic clerics, and the chief Iman of Ibadan, Abubakri Abdulganiyu. According to the spokesperson to late Ajimobi, had announced in a statement on Friday, that the burial of the ex-governor would be on Sunday at the Senator Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi Central Mosque, Oke-do, Ibadan by 12pm. But the management of the mosque was against the buried to take place in the mosque as it’s against the Islamic injunctions.
