NYSC Begins Plans To Send Corpers Back To Camp.

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has revealed that it has commenced plans to send 2020 Batch ‘A’ Stream One corps members back to camp.

The Director-General of the scheme, Brg.-Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim, stated that the NYSC orientation course will resume, months after NYSC suspended the camp orientation program just one week into the exercise as a proactive measure to avert the spread of COVID-19 to any of the orientation camps.

However, the NYSC director-general stated that the suspended 2020 Batch ‘A’ Stream One orientation course would be completed, only when the scheme received the go-ahead from the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19.

Adding that the NYSC management will ensure that various COVID-19 interventions including sensitisation, production and distribution of face masks, liquid soaps, hand sanitiser, and automated disinfection chambers will be put in place before the return of corp members to their respective camps.
