The Oyo State Government has said, it will ensure the return of Peace who is an indigene of the state. According to reports, Peace has been rescued from her first employer, and plans are ongoing to ensure other residents of the state trafficked abroad are also released.

Peace is yet to return to Nigeria due to the current pandemic and lockdown in many countries, the Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Affairs, Seyi Aliyu told newsmen while on a courtesy visit to the family of Peace who lost her father few days ago.

“Since the day the Oyo State Government found out that Peace Busari was put up for sale, we have been communicating with the Director-General of Nigerians in the Diaspora Commission for her release. We are not going to rest until she and other Nigerians held against their will are released too” Aliyu said.

It was later discovered that Peace was put up for sale because her boss could no longer pay her. She is currently working for another family off contract terms and can leave whenever she wants.
