Ambush: “Valiant Soldiers Paid The Price As Boko Haram Strikes Again In Maiduguri”- Maj. Gen. John

Boko Haram is at it again, as at least, 20 soldiers may have lost their lives in an ambush by the terrorist group.

It was reported that over 20 soldiers were killed and two injured in an ambush, as the soldiers were attached to the 25 Task Force Brigade, Damboa in Borno, as they were ambushed along the Maiduguri-Damboa road as they were returning from a five-day clearance operation.

According to statements made by the Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Maj. Gen. John Enenche, confirmed that the soldiers of the 25 Task Force Brigade deployed in Damboa were ambushed and 17 Boko Haram terrorist were neutralized as several others were believed to have narrowly escaped with various degrees of injuries.

“Regrettably, two valiant soldiers paid the supreme price, while four others were wounded in a counter ambush operation along Damboa-Maiduguri road.” Enenche said.

We pray for our gallant super heroes, who have dedicated their lives in making sure we sleep at night. May the soul of the departed rest in peace.
