BREAKING: Nigeria Hits The 30,000 Mark, As 460 New COVID-19 Cases is Confirmed

The battle against the coronavirus pandemic rages on in Nigeria.

Today, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has reported 460 new cases of the deadly coronavirus in Nigeria.

The NCDC made the report late Wednesday night across its social media platforms. Based on latest data from the health regulatory body in the nation, Nigeria now has 30,249 confirmed cases of covid-19, with 12,373 cases discharged, while 684 deaths have been recorded till date as the Country surpasses 30,000 cases.

Lagos state as usual led in the daily report, as the state reported 150 new covid-19 cases today. Rivers state was next on the list with 49 confirmed cases.

Oyo state followed with 43 cases reported in the state today, while 38 positive cases were recorded in Delta state, and 26 in the FCT.

This comes a day after Cross River state reported it’s first cases of coronavirus in the state. It had previously been the only covid-19 free state in Nigeria.
