Couple arrested for torturing 8-year-old houseboy over N100 worth of akara in Imo State

When a wicked act is committed, the devil is always blamed for it, as one Mr. Goodluck and wife Benita Ogbuji, in Imo State have been arrested for allegedly torturing their houseboy, Wisdom, an 8-year-old over N100 bean cake (locally called akara).

According to report, the couples resides at Umudagu Mbieri in Mbaitoil Local Government Area of the state, as it was reported that Goodluck and Benita dehumanized the boy for buying N100 worth of akara instead of N50. At 8-year-old, it is possible that the victim, Wisdom thought he was sent to buy that of N100. But how wicked can they be, It’s just N50 difference.

Goodluck and Benita has since been detained at the Orji Police Division, while Wisdom is being taken care of by the police, according to the police spokesman, Orlando Ikeokwu, who also said the command was on top of the matter.

At the police station, it was learnt that Wisdom had stopped schooling since 2019, and Benita, blamed the devil for their wicked and evil act. Everyone is quick to blame the devil when everything goes wrong, but are scared to resist the devil right from the start. As at time of making this report, it’s still unknown if the accused have children of their own.
