D.J Cuppy Signs Deal With Platoon Label, Ahead Of New Album Release.

Popular Nigerian Disc Jockey and artist, DJ Cuppy announced on Tuesday, July 7, that she has signed a new deal with label services company, Platoon.

The new deal comes ahead of the release of her debut album #OriginalCopy.

The excited artist took to her social media pages to share the news, “Contract SIGNED & SEALED! Proud to join the @WearePlatoon family as an artist” Cuppy wrote.

Platoon is a label service company owned by Apple, the company. Platoon works directly with independent artists, helping them create, distribute, and commercialise exceptional creative work.

Platoon also offers services like free studio time; funding for videos, promotion and marketing; distribution; tour support; and playlist pitching to the artist.

Over the past three years, Platoon has increased its reach in African countries by handing out advances to several acts in South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria and so forth.

This news comes a few weeks after Cuppy was announced as the new host of Africa Now on Apple Music.
