“I made a mistake supporting Obaseki in 2016” – Oshiomhole seeks for forgiveness as election approaches

Adams Oshiomhole, ex-governor of Edo State, and former National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), has declared that he sold bad product to the people of the state in 2016.

In 2016, Oshiomhole supported governorship aspirant, Godwin Obaseki for the position of the governor of the state, something he now called a mistake and is apologizing to the people of Edo State.

“Obaseki is memoranda of understanding governor, but Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu is a man of God, who will ensure good governance in Edo state. I made an honest mistake and I have come to seek for your forgiveness, as I am only human not God.” Oshiomhole said.

Oshiomhole who was making the statement at the Government Reservation Area, in Benin, told the Enigies (enigies are heads of various towns and villages in the Benin kingdom) that power was abused by the sitting governor, and they have come to make amends, as he claimed, that Osagie Ize-Iyamu (candidate of the APC) will not repeat the mistakes of Obaseki come September 19.

Obaseki who is now member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was disqualified from participating in the governorship primaries when he was in the APC. The primary was later won by Osagie Ize-Iyamu, who went unopposed after some other aspirant stepped down for him.
