Man.United Win Bournemouth 5-2 To Boost Champions League Bid.

Manchester United forced a 5-2 win over struggling Bournemouth at the Old Trafford this evening.

Junior Stanislas had fired Bournemouth into the lead after burying beyond David de Gea from a difficult angle.

However, Mason Greenwood scored twice in the 29th and 54th minutes, after two powerful shots hurtled past Aaron Ramsdale to change the game.

Ten minutes before half-time, Marcus Rashford netted his first goal since the restart from the penalty spot following Adam Smith’s handball.

United’s lead was extended again in first half stoppage time when Anthony Martial curled home superbly.

Bournemouth hauled one goal back after the break before Bruno Fernandes swept in a superb free kick in the 59th minute.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are now above Chelsea ahead of the Blues’ game against Watford with a win that extended their unbeaten run to 16 games in all.
