Mikel Obi Set To Return To The English Premier League As Clubs Rival Over His Signature

Nigerian Superstar and former Eagles captain, Mikel Obi, 33, has become a premier league target as West Ham and Championship side, West Brom have both shown interest to sign the former Trabzonspor player.

Mikel who once played for Chelsea, terminated his contract with Turkish side Trabzonspor over his refusal to continue playing for the side after the outbreak of the current pandemic, which once put football on a pause.

According to reports, Premier League side, West Ham United are in talks to sing the former Chelsea midfielder. The 33-year-old star has also caught the eye of Championship side, West Brom. After quitting his Turkish club, Mikel had been strongly linked with Botafogo, a Brazilian side.

According to Tribal Football, there are already in talks with West Ham for next season. Mikel in his view will be seeking to return back to a team that players for the Premier league not a lower division, as he has won the Premier League, FA Cup, Europa League and Champions League, in his time at Chelsea.
