Nigeria records 562 new COVID-19 cases, total now 37,225

Nigeria on Monday recorded 562 COVID-19 cases, bringing total infections reported to 37,225.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control made this known via its Twitter handle, noting that 15,333 patients have been discharged upon treatment and recovery from 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.

It added that 801 associated fatalities have been recorded so far.

The NCDC gave the state-by-state distribution of cases confirmed on Monday as, “FCT – 102, Lagos – 100, Plateau – 52, Kwara – 50, Abia – 47, Kaduna – 35, Benue – 34, Oyo – 26, Ebonyi – 24, Kano – 16, Niger – 15, Anambra – 14, Gombe – 12, Edo – 11, Rivers – 6, Nasarawa – 5, Delta – 5, Borno – 3, Enugu – 2, Bauchi – 2, and Kebbi – 1.”
