Pastor Who Was Accused For Trying To Sleep With A Member’s Wife, Gets Excommunicated By The Church

The Redeemed Christian Church of God has taken first step as they excommunicate Akure, Pastor, Mr. Gideon Bakare as he was also stripped off all ministerial duties in the church.

Just few days ago, a viral video of the pastor was seen on almost all social media platform naked, as he was sited besides a woman who accused him of wanting to sleep with her as the cleric begs for mercy.

In the viral video, pastor Bakare was seen pleading for mercy as the woman threatened to call his wife to see what he had done as they spoke in their mother tongue.

The Redeemed Christian Church of God, in a statement made by the Head of Media and Public Relations, Pastor Olaitan Olubiyi has dissociated itself and the church from the alleged immoral act, which he said is completely against everything the church stands for.

“This is completely contrary to the core values, doctrines, beliefs and practices of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and the undiluted words of God. After reviewing the report of its investigation, Mr Bakare has therefore been directed to return all official items in his custody and stay off all associated connects with the mission with immediate effect.” Pastor Olaitan said.

According to gathered information, it was learnt Bakare was a part-time pastor and is a senior civil servant I the Ondo State Civil Service.

Bakare did not just stained his reputation, but has also portrayed the church in a bad light ad that of his extended family at large. May God have mercy on him.
