Police Arrest Stepmother, Father For Torturing Six-year-old Girl With Nails In Ogun State

Residence in Ijagba, the Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State, where in a state of shock, after a couple were arrested for allegedly torturing their child with nail.

According to gathered information’s, the six-year-old girl has been taken to the hospital, after a distressed call was made by the neighbor to a non-governmental organization, Olanrewaju Omo-George Foundation, whose representative informed the area police.

Taiwo Onabanjo, the father, and Abimbola, the step mother were both arrested by the Sagamu Police Division. It was learnt that, “nails were drilled in her head. Her body has marks of beating and lacerations.”

The head of the foundation, Wemimo Adebiyi claimed effort has been made to locate the biological mother of the six-year-old, as the foundation, is ready to settle all medical bills the hospital would present, and also sponsor in full, her education until she graduates from higher institution.

“We are trying to locate the biological mother of the child. Our foundation has decided to sponsor her education from this level, to higher institution, also we will take care of her medical bills.” Wemimo Adebiyi said.

Moreover, the father of the girl was later released as the step mother is set to be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded. The confirmation statement was made by the Commissioner of Police, Edwards Ajogun.
