According to recent reports by Media sources, President Muhammadu Buhari has suspended, Ibrahim Magu. the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
On Monday, July 6, 2020 it was reported that Magu spent the night in police custody, based on the orders of a presidential panel probing an alleged money laundering case against him.
He was taken to the Presidential Villa, Abuja, where he appeared before a presidential panel investigating alleged corruption and insubordination.
However, in separate statements on Monday, the DSS denied arresting the anti-graft chief while the EFCC said Mr Magu was only invited for questioning.
Similarly, the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption has also described Mr Magu as a victim of power play in the presidency.
News this evening have however stated that the EFCC Chairman has been reportedly suspended by the FG.
