The FA Cup, known officially as The Football Association Challenge Cup, is an annual knockout football competition in men’s domestic English football. Since 2015, it has been known as The Emirates FA Cup after its headline sponsor.

Winners of the F.A cup receive the FA Cup trophy, qualify for the UEFA Europa League and have a place in the FA Community Shield.

Arsenal are the current holders and most successful club with 14 titles, while Arsène Wenger is the most successful manager in the history of the competition, having won seven finals as Arsenal’s manager.

John Cameron was a Scottish footballer and manager. He played as a forward for Queen’s Park, Everton and Scotland and was noted as an effective goal-maker and goalscorer. He won the English F.A Cup with Tottenham in 1901 as a player-manager.

Billy Walker

Billy Walker, full name – William Henry Walker, was a prominent English footballer of the 1920s and 1930s. He is considered by many to be the greatest footballer to ever play for Aston Villa Football Club and one of the greatest players to have played for England. Walker won the English F.A Cup with Aston Villa as a player in 1920, and then won it twice as a coach with Sheffield Wednesday in 1935 and Nottingham Forest in 1957.

Matt Busby

Real name – Sir Alexander Matthew Busby. Busby was a Scottish football player and manager, who managed Manchester United between 1945 and 1969. He was the first manager of an English team to win the European Cup and is widely regarded as one of the greatest managers of all time. Busby won the English F.A Cup with Manchester City as a player in 1934 and twice as a coach with Manchester United in 1948 and 1963.

Joe Smith

Real name – Joseph Smith. Smith was an English professional football player and manager. He is tenth in the list of England’s top-flight goal scorers with 243 league goals to his name. Joe Smith won the English F.A Cup with Bolton Wanderers twice as a player in 1923 & 1926, and then as a coach with Blackburn Rovers in 1953.

Joe Mercer

Another person who won the F.A Cup both as a player and a coach is Joseph Mercer. He won the F.A Cup as a player with Arsenal in 1950 and as a coach with Manchester City in 1969.

Robert Stokoe

Popularly known as Bob Stokoe. Robert was an English footballer and manager who was able to win the English F.A Cup as a player with Newcastle in 1955 and as a coach with Sunderland in 1973.

Kenny Dalglish

Full name – Sir Kenneth Mathieson Dalglish. Dalglish is a former Scottish football player and manager. He won the F.A Cup as a player with Liverpool in 1986 and as a manager in 1989.

George Graham

George Graham is a Scottish former footballer and manager. He made 455 appearances in England’s Football League as a midfielder or forward for Aston Villa, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, Portsmouth and Crystal Palace. George Graham won the English F.A Cup as a player with Arsenal in 1971 and as a manager in 1993.

Roberto Di Matteo

Roberto Matteo is an Italian former professional footballer and manager. He played for Swiss clubs Schaffhausen, Zürich and Aarau before joining Lazio of Italy and Chelsea of England. He won the F.A Cup twice as a player with Chelsea in 1997 and 2000 and with Chelsea as a manager in 2012.

Mikel Arteta

He won the F.A Cup twice with Arsenal as a player in 2014 and 2015, and then won it as a manager with Arsenal in 2020.
