Barcelona Sack Manager Quique Setien After UCL Exit.

Spanish giants, Barcelona have sacked it’s head coach Quique Setien after they suffered a 8-2 loss to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League quarter final match on Friday.

With Lionel Messi reportedly threatening to quit the club, Barcelona president Josep Bartomeu confirmed to reporters on Sunday evening that Setien was relieved from his appointment as the cluub’s coach.

Setien was only appointed in January to replace Ernesto Valverde, but fared little better than his sacked predecessor as Real Madrid beat Barcelona to the La Liga title.

An official announcement is expected on Monday, with Barcelona scheduling a press conference in the afternoon.

However, Netherlands coach Ronald Koeman, former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino and Barcelona legend Xavi are all in the frame to replace Setien.
