Gov. Akeredolu Reduces Tuition Fees Of State Universities.

Ondo state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has announed that there will be a reduction in the tuition fees of state universities in the state.

The Governor approved a downward review of the tuition fees stating that it was done in view of the economic effect of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country on parents and students.

Earlier on after his assumption of office in 2017, Akeredolu approved an increment in the tuition fees of the institution and he explained that the previous tuition could not provide quality education desired by the students.

In a circular to all students on Thursday signed by the acting registrar and secretary to the council, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, Opeoluwa Akinfemiwa, the acting vice-chancellor, Olugbenga Ige, was directed to inform all returning students of the reduction in the fees.
