I Wanted To Leave United Back To Arsenal – Alexis Sanchez Speaks Out.

Chilean forward, Alexis Sanchez has revealed that he regretted leaving Arsenal for Manchester United.

Alexis Sanchez has admitted that he regretted joining Manchester United after his first training session and wanted to return to Arsenal.

Sanchez joined United in January 2018 in a highly publicised swap deal that saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan go to the Emirates in part exchange.

Despite the sky high expectations, however, the Chilean failed to deliver at Old Trafford and only managed to score five goals in his 45 appearances for the club.

The 31-year-old was offered a way out of Manchester last summer as he joined Italian giants Inter on loan and, and he has now opened up on his regret of joining United in a video on Instagram.

“I got the opportunity to go to United and it seemed tempting to me,” he said. “It was something nice for me, because when I was a kid I liked that club a lot.”

“The first training I had I realised many things. I got home and I told my representative: ‘Can’t the contract be terminated to return to Arsenal?’

“They start laughing and I told them that something did not sit right with me. It had already been signed.”

In the caption for the video Sanchez added: “My time at Manchester United has finished and I only have words to say thank you, I clarify and close it.”
