Regent Tinade Babalola Adejuyigbe, the traditional ruler and community head of Iboropa-Akoko community, a major settlement of Akokoland in Ondo State, has taken to her Instagram handle to answer few questions from her fans, in an all question and answer time.
One of the few questions thrown at Regent Tinade, was if she was allowed to have a male friend or get married while on the throne. Regent Tinade, responded that she is not allowed to have any of such, as her position demands that she celibate throughout her reign as a regent.
Only just 22-years-old, Tinade is described as a strong, vibrant and courageous ruler, as she took charge after the death of her father, HRM Oba Ayowole Adejuyigba Babalola in 2015 (That means she became regent as a teenager).
Another question which caught our interest was when a fan asked why she is the one in charge when clearly she has elder brothers.
“My elder brothers have no interest in becoming kings and I’m on the throne temporarily pending when they find a suitable person to crown as the new king.” Tinade replied.
Tinade went further to describe how she coped in the university and how she didn’t mingle with people because they were not sure on how to approach her.
