Governor of Kwara State Pledges N500m Support Fund To Owners Of Looted Stores

In a time when the Nigerian police needs to step up activities and take charge over illegal activities from thugs, hoodlums and looters across the country, the Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has promised owners of looted goods by hoodlums a N500m set up funds to help restart their business.

The activities of hoodlums in the state came as surprise to so many as various stores where destroyed, and their goods made away with. The Governor took to his official twitter account to make the promise to the store owners.

A website was set up to enable those affected to apply in other to access the promised money from the government of Kwara State.

“Today I visited the sites of some of the businesses that were looted b hoodlums. What I saw was disheartening. We will help the owners of these business get back on their feet. We have set up a N500m fund that they can apply.” The governors tweet reads.
