Okada Riders Attack Policemen, BRT In Lagos. (See Video)

According to multiple media reports, commercial motorcycle operators or Okada riders as they are called, have attacked policemen in Lagos state.

This comes following a clash between the okada riders and operatives of the Lagos State Task Force on environmental Sanitation and other Offences in Mile 2 area of Lagos between Monday and Tuesday.

During the clash, which left some operatives of the Task force injured, over 200 motorcycles said to be operating illegally in the Second Rainbow area of Festac, were impounded.

The Okada riders have however attacked both police officials and Lagos state BRT buses. Some of the bus drivers had to discharge their passengers and look for a safe place to park. The Okada riders were also burning tyres inside the BRT lane in the Oshodi-Abule Egba corridor.
