English Premier League club, Chelsea has confirmed that it’s newly signed midfielder, Kai Havertz has already tested positive for coronavirus. Chelsea manager Frank Lampard disclosed this on Wednesday, November 4.
The Premier League club announced the information on social media hours before their Champions League clash against French club Rennes at the Stamford Bridge.
“Frank Lampard has confirmed Kai Havertz has tested positive for Covid-19. As a consequence the player is now undergoing a period of self-isolation and is not involved in tonight’s Champions League game versus Rennes.” The club Tweeted.
Chelsea who have 7 points from three Champions League games this season played the game against Rennes without the 21-year-old.
