Rangers Football Club coach, Steven Gerrard has shared his thoughts after claims that Super Eagles and Rangers Football Club midfielder, Joe Aribo tested positive for Coronavirus.
Aribo was left out of the squad on Thursday night as Rangers were forced to a 2-2 draw against Benfica at the Ibrox.
In his post-match reaction Steven Gerrard confirmed that the Nigerian midfielder sat out the match due to stomach complaints and not because of Coronavirus.
“He was unwell. He had a stomach complaint [on Wednesday] night. Hopefully, he will be available for the weekend.
“It’s important to say it is not Covid-related. He was negative on his test before people start putting two and two together.”
The Rangers Boss stated as he refuted claims that the player tested positive for COVID-19.
