“We Don’t Want Another Lockdown And Can’t Afford To Be Complacent”- Sanwo-Olu Warns

The Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has warned residents of the state to take the current health challenge seriously as Lagos scarily recorded its highest number of infection in one day.

According to Sanwo-Olu, the Lagos state government don’t want another fresh lockdown, as the second wave comes with severe symptoms and high number of positive cases have been recorded already.

Taken to his official social media handle (Twitter), Sanwo-Olu informed residents to always wear their face mask, avoid crowded areas, wash and sanitize their hands and practice social distancing, as the year will only work if everyone takes these guidelines seriously.

“There is an urgent need for us to be more circumspect in the way we live, interact and socialize with our friends and family. We don’t want to go into another lockdown. It is important that you wear your mask, avoid crowded areas and practice social distancing.” Sanwo-Olu tweeted.

Sanwo-Olu ended his statement by saying, everyone should “Take Responsibility” as the state cannot afford to be complacent at this time.
