Frank Ochuko, a 26-year-old student of the Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe Oghara, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State has been killed by suspected cultists.

According to reports gathered Frank was hacked to death on Sunday evening outside a popular hotel in Oghara community.

“Frank sat an exam yesterday morning. He went to see a lecturer who had sent for him in a hotel in the community.

“He was returning when he was attacked by a gang who had cutlasses and axes. They killed him and dumped his body in the community.” A source revealed.

Another source alleged that Frank was dating a girl who was in a relationship with a member of the Aiye cult.

“They almost fought in school some time ago, so I think his death is cult-related,” he said.

The Delta State Police Command spokesperson DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, who also confirmed the incident, said the student was ambushed by four men carrying axes and other dangerous weapons, while he was returning from the school’s staff quarters where he went to resolve an issue with one lecturer.
