Former Chocolate City records boss, M.I Abaga must have foreseen the future, since prophecies he gave concerning his former protege – CKay in 2018 are coming to reality at the moment.
The veteran rapper from the city of Jos, Nigeria gave the prophecy in the record ‘Another Thing! Do Not Be A Groupie” off his 2018 album “Yxng Dxnzl”.
In the track M.I Abaga stated that the singer was going to be a hit-wonder someday with a worldwide recognition.
He stated; “CKay’s coming soon, everybody gon’ see the evidence.”
The Prophecy by M.I seems to have come to fulfilment as CKay has become a global star with his hit track ‘Love Nwantiti’ which has become the number one song on Shazam’s global charts.
The singer is also the second Nigerian artist with the highest monthly listeners on Spotify at the moment.
CKay has always shown his gratitude to M.I Abaga for the support he gave him throughout his journey in becoming an artiste whose craft would be recognised in the global music industry.
In 2019, CKay tweeted that “MI gave him an opportunity when no one did” and he’ll never forget it.
