Over the weekend, Bill Gates and his ex-wife Melinda Gates walked their oldest daughter Jennifer Gates down the aisle ahead of her nuptials with her long time Egyptian millionaire fiance, Nayel Nassar after they got engaged last year.
According to reports, the couple’s private Muslim ceremony was held on Friday night in the backyard of the household’s 142-acre property in North Salem, New York. The couple got engaged last year.
“You are one of a kind. Absolutely swept me off my feet this past weekend, surprising me in the most meaningful location over one of our many shared passions,” she wrote with a ring emoji. “I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives learning, growing, laughing and loving together. Yes a million times over. AHHH!!!” Jennifer wrote last year.
The luxurious, star-studded event took weeks of planning. Photos that surfaced earlier this week showed the expansive property is transformed into an opulent wedding venue, complete with a stage, elaborate pavilions, floor-to-ceiling windows, hardwood floors and a stage.
The couple also shared photos of the wedding ceremony on their respective social media pages.

“We did a thing this weekend! Can’t wait for forever after with you @jenniferkgates. Thank you to everyone who made this the happiest day of my life” Nayel Nassar also wrote on his Instagram page.
Bill and Melinda Gates, who announced their divorce earlier this year, were present at the wedding and walked their daughter down the aisle. In addition to 25-year-old Jennifer’s parents, Bill and Melinda Gates, attendees included her brother Rory and sister, Phoebe. Also in attendance was Bill’s stepmother, Mimi Gardner Gates.
