Malam Muhammad Garba, Kano state’s Commissioner for Information has refuted claims that Hafsat Ganduje, wife of the Governor has been arrested by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The commissioner described the news as mere rumours and that the governor’s wife has not been arrested or detained by the EFCC.
He however called on the citizens of the state to disregard the rumour, urging them to remain calm as the first lady is discharging her responsibilities freely.

Mrs Hafsat Ganduje was earlier petitioned by her son Abdulazeez Ganduje for alleged land fraud and money laundering.
